Welcome to Navajeewana Drug Rehabilitation Center

Where Hope Meets Compassion

About Navajeewana

Raja Wijekoon was a notorious person who lived in Karapitiya, Galle. At the age of 17 he became a dangerous criminal by making a name for himself as 'Karapitiye Raja.' However to the poor, he was a 'Robin Hood' or 'Saradiel' to whom they looked up to. The Prisons became his home as he was mostly inside rather than being out, with so many legal accusations against him.

Founder Late Raja Wijekoon

On the 09th of March 2012 at the age of 62, Bro. Raja passed away. At the time of his death, he had housed more than 7,000 drug as well as alcohol addicts at the Centre. In addition, he has counselled and motivated more than 3,000 who were shun from society and helped rehabilitate them to become responsible individuals.
